Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours - General Gameplay
The game is aptly titles though – Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours is definitely only for the brave. Its a 5 reel online slot with 10 win lines that looks fantastic to be fair. All the symbols are big, bold and bright and there’s a nicely animated leprechaun that pops up every now and again to remind everyone that this is a Rainbow Riches game.
As always the aim is to get consecutive matching reel symbols on the reels. Unlike most online slots though Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours doesn’t just pay out when you get matching reel symbols running from left to right on the reels, but also from right to left. There’s a Magic Fairy symbol that appears on the reels which will transform into a different reel symbol to help you get those wins – and you can get quite a few of them turning up on the same spin, which is definitely handy.
And that’s pretty much it. No Wild symbol, no Bonus Round, no Free Spins.
Unless of course you want to play for Big Bucks. And by that I mean playing a minimum of £10 a spin. If you do that then extra features unlock – the more you play per spin, the more features unlock.

So playing the basic version of this game as explained above won’t keep you interested for very long. However, if you play High Stakes (and you’re a braver person than me) then things kinda start to happen.
Select the Big Bet button at the bottom of the screen and the options become available.
All Big Bet games play out over 4 separate lots of reels as per the picture at the top of the review. So you’re actually getting 4 spins for your money. If you play with a £10 play stake then the reels play in exactly the same way as the base game, with the Magic Fairy active during the spins to try and help you get more wins.
However, increasing the bet unlocks more features. If you play at £20 a spin any Magic Fairies that you get will also transfer onto the reels of the other sets of reels on the screen. So if you get a Magic Fairy on reel 1 of reel set 1 (of 4) then that magic fairy will also appear on reel 1 in the same position on all 4 sets of reels on the screen. its sounds more complicated than it is.
Playing for £30 a spin also then adds a Wild symbol to the possible reel symbols you can get. Playing for £40 a spin means that any Wilds you get are transferred onto the other reel sets in the same way as the Magic Fairy does. Finally if you play for £50 a spin then you get all the above and the 10, Jack and Queen reel symbols are removed from the reels.

So this is what a £40 spin looks like. With Magic Fairies and Wild Symbols available. My first set of reels has been played and the second set of reels is in play when I took the screen shot. That makes it easier to understand doesn’t it.
What I don’t understand though is why I was foolish enough to play a 340 spin just to explain how Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours works to you though – maybe I’m just a nice person.
I didn’t win anything at all though – no Magic Fairies, no Wild symbols, no win. At all.

Lets rewind a little. So this is a 5 reel online slot that has 10 win lines and pays out when you get at least 3 matching reel symbols running concurrently from reel 1 through to 5, or reel 5 through to 1.
Apart from the Magic Fairy there are only 9 Reel Symbols in rainbow Riches Fortune Favours which is about the only positive thing I can say about the slot, as fewer Reel Symbols should mean more wins.
And to be fair the pays are higher than you get on a lot of online slots – up to 2500x your play stake.
Even though the payouts are pretty good, I don’t think this is enough to save Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours – its a game cynically designed to drain you of your cash and only the very brave or very stupid should give it a go.
