Reel Classic 5 is an expanded version of Reel Classic 3 – featuring an extra two reels and four winlines to make it a five reel, five winline online slot game.

Based around a Soccer theme (which has no bearing on the name of the online slot and just serves to give it a theme to hang the reel symbols around), you can choose not only how many of the five lines you would like to play, but also which of the lines that you want to play – this is pretty cool, as you usually have to play the middle line by default, with each additional winline being automatically chosen for you. Its an academic point though, as you should always play as many lines as are available so that you maximise your chances of winning.

After choosing the number of winlines, you then choose the level that you want to play at. You can choose a value from 1p up to £5 by clicking on the arrows either side of the line bet value. After this you choose how much you want to be per line – do this by clicking on the ‘Bet’ button and you will see that it multiplies your initial stake by anything up to four times. The total that you are staking per line is shown above the reels so that you can stay in control of how much you are wagering.

Winnings are accrued by matching three, four or five symbols on a winline. The more symbols you match then the more you will win, and if you are lucky enough to get more than one set of matching symbols on a spin then you win the value of all the wins combined.

There are no special features available on Reel Classic 5, and for my eyes the screen is not only very small (the playing area is about 1/5^th of the size of the slot game, which in itself is only about a ¼ of the size of your screen) but the overall look of the game is quite muted and washed out – the whole machine has a colour scheme based on blue, black and white; more effort could have been made to brighten the game up I think.

Overall Reel Classic 5 is a pretty decent game, but if you are into playing five reel online slots you’ll soon get bored with the lack of features that are available on other five reel fruit machines.
