Rome & Glory is one of the most popular themed video slot games featured by Playtech. As a Playtech game, I immediately knew I would be in for a treat. This game was full of adventure, amazing features and some impressive payouts. The game depicts ancient Rome and uses some amazing graphics and sound effects. I was happy with the option of playing as many as 20 lines and even happier with the opportunity to select from various coin sizes. The game supports bets from $0.01 to $5 per payline. With the option of betting as many as 10 coins on each line, the game offers some impressive betting limits.

While playing the game, I found the wild symbol appearing often. This is the Coliseum symbol. This symbol is actually quite unique as it functions as the wild as well as the scatter symbol in the game. This means that the wild will take the place of every symbol in the game. Many other slot games will use different symbols and the wild will not take the place of the scatter. When playing Rome & Glory, the wild is a true wild and all symbols can be replaced when this appears in any position on the reels.

One of the most impressive features of Rome & Glory is the free spin bonus round. When three or more scatter or wild symbols appear on the reels, the bonus round will automatically be triggered. Ten free spins will be awarded. The only negative aspect of the bonus is that the payouts will only be paid at the normal amount and there is no multiplier available during the free spin round. To accommodate for the regular payouts, the free spin round does include a special scatter symbol. This mystery scatter symbol is the Caesar symbol and can provide some awesome payouts.

Even though I am impressed with the features of the game, the theme and the appearance of the graphics, the game does not offer a progressive jackpot. Since the payouts are pretty low, I was disappointed to learn there was not a higher jackpot available. However, the features in the game are often employed, so there are some great chances to receive some great payouts.

After each wining spin, I was offered the gamble feature which allowed me to double the amount of the payout. I was also offered the option of doubling half of the win. The goal is to choose a card that is of higher value than the one displayed. If this is successfully done, the amount of the original win will be doubled if that was the selected gamble option.

Rome & Glory is a great game. While there could be higher payouts and a better paying free spin round, the game is solidly created and does offer a great form of entertainment.
