It takes the look at feel of the original game meaning that front the instant that the game boots up you already feel like you know how to play the game. The reel symbols are very similar, although the characters look a little older and the whole impression is that the game is a little grainier that the original – fitting I guess for a game that is themed around walking about the desert…

The game play is the same. You choose the number of lines that you want to play and the stake that you want to gamble on each line. This makes up your total game wager. Spin the reels and try and get a minimum of 2 matching symbols on any of the winlines. Depending on the symbols you match and the number of them you will win a multiplier of your total wager.

Desert Treasure 2 Wild Symbols

The main difference in the gameplay in its standard guise is the use of the Wild symbol. In Desert Treasure 2 makes use of expanding Wild symbols. Unlike the normal Wild Symbols that were utilised in the first Desert Treasure, if a Wild symbol spins in on Reels 2,3 or 4 it can expand to take up all the position in the reel – this is very handy for increasing this number of wins that you can get.

The other main change to the game is in the bonus round. Again, like the first game, getting three or more “Treasure Map” symbols on a winline will start the Bonus Round. And as before you are taken to a Bedouins tent and asked to select either three, four or five chests. Each of these chests has an amount in, and once you have chosen your chests these amounts are added together to give you your bonus round win.

UNLESS….one of the chests also has  a treasure map in it. If you find this, then after you complete the initial bonus round you will be shown the map. This gives you another two locations to travel too – choose one of those and then you can play another Bonus Round.

The second bonus round plays in exactly the same way – simply select a number of items to unlock the winnings inside them. Once you have completed this round, all the winnings from both rounds are added together to give you your final Bonus Round win amount. As far as we could tell, there is no additional treasure map in the second round, so you cant visit both places on the map in one go.
