I was able to play this as a penny machine, betting $0.01 on each payline. When I hit a winning streak, I bumped this amount to receive higher payouts. Though the game does not offer a progressive jackpot, the winnings are great and payouts occur often.

The wild symbol is the pyramid and this appeared many times during my session of play. This symbol will substitute for all other symbols in the game with the exception of the scatter icon. The wild can appear in any position on the reels and can create some stunning payouts. Five of these symbols will award the top jackpot of 10,000 coins. The scatter symbol is the adventurer herself. She can also appear in any position on the reels and will produce some great rewards. When three or more are on the reels, the first bonus round will trigger. This is a free spin round in which you will receive 12 free spins. All of the payouts during the round will be worth triple the normal amount and the free spin round can be retriggered. It is possible to win as many as 300,000 coins during this exceptional bonus round.

Azteca Bonus Round

I found the second bonus round to be equally rewarding. This game is triggered with the mask symbol. Three or more in a row on a payline will activate the bonus round. If four masks appear, the multiplier will be increased to 5x and if five appear, the multiplier jumps to 27x. This is a second screen bonus round that features eight items on the screen. I kept choosing items until the collect symbol appeared. The amount of the win is automatically credited and if there were four or five triggering symbols, the winning amount will be multiplied. There is also a pyramid symbol in this round and if this is revealed, you will advance to the second stage of the bonus game. Here, two orbs are revealed, each offering a multiplier amount.
