Its not often that you come across an online slot game that makes you wonder why it was made, but Burning Desire is one of them. I don’t know why, but I just couldn’t click with this game – maybe its me – but in a world where there are literally thousands of online slot games, I think that Burning Desire flatters to deceive.

Lets start with the good points. Its a 5 reel online slot with 243 win lines, meaning that just by getting matching symbols on adjacent reels running from left to right gives you a win in a lot of cases. It also has a Wild Symbol ( Its the actual Burning Desire symbol) which substitutes for all other symbols apart from the Scatter symbol. This is a good thing usually, but surprisingly in Burning Fire its an excellent thing which pretty much guarantees at least one win.

The other symbols to look out for is the Gold Coin symbol. This is a Scatter symbol meaning that if you get two or more appearing anywhere on the reels you will win a Scatter Bonus of between 1 and 100x your stake. If you manage to get three of more you will trigger the Free Spins Round too!

Burning Desire also features some very nice clear graphics, although they are pretty bright; almost to the point of being garish, and whilst the reel symbols are nicely designed, there’s no animation to them.  Its little features like this that make the game less exciting than some of its counterparts.

Anyway, back to the free spins round as it does save this game a little to be fair. You get 15 Free Spins to start with, and any wins that you get are paid out at a 3x multiplier, which is fairly generous and does give you at least the opportunity to rack up some decent wins. Well, there are two main reasons. Firstly, when you make a deposit, your deposit doesn’t show as actual cash. Instead it is displayed as “Coins”. Changing the stake changes the number of coins, and to be honest sometimes it can be hard to tell exactly how much you are wagering. I find it hard to connect with a slot if you cant actually tell how much money you are winning (or losing!).

The second reason is that Burning Desire is Boring. Essentially all slot games play the same way, so its the little features that make it playable. The lack of animation in the game, the lack of bonus rounds and the general “click, click, click” of pressing the Spin button just gets boring very quickly.
