Rainbow Riches is a five reel online slot game that has twenty winlines and is based around an Irish leprechaun looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. In my eyes the actual leprechaun symbol is a little sinister, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped this machines popularity!

The main aim of the game is to match three or more of the symbols on one of the winlines. Your win amount will depend on how many symbols you match concurrently from reel one through to reel five (the more you match – the more you win) and also which symbols you match. There are seven main symbols to match, but there are also another three that will unlock bonus rounds.

You start the game by deciding how much you would like to spend per spin and how many lines you would like to play. We always recommend that you play all the lines available (and there are 20 win lines in Rainbow Riches) so that you have the maximum chance of winning. You select your stake by clicking the up and down arrows next to the stake/line box on the far left of the screen. As you change your stake bet you will see that the main stake box (the third box in at the bottom of the game screen) changes to show you exactly how much you are going to be playing per spin.

If you are playing all twenty lines then the smallest stake that you can play is 20p and the largest is £500 per spin. Of course, the more you wager, then the more each win is worth – but you should only ever play at a level that you are comfortable with.

To help you increase you chances of winning there is a Golden Coin symbol that spins in on the reels occasionally. This acts as a Wild symbol and acts in place of any other symbol on the reels apart from the three symbols that will trigger the different bonus games. These Wild symbols are very handy, as they can help trigger multiple wins during your game.

As I mentioned earlier in this review, there are three additional symbols that will spin in, each of which will trigger their own Bonus Game should you spin three or more of them in. One nice thing about these bonus rounds is that they are triggered even if you do not get the symbols on a win line – all that has to happen is you have to get three or more symbols anywhere on the reels and the feature is triggered.

The first Bonus Round is the Leprechaun Road To Riches Bonus round. This is triggered by getting three or more Leprechaun symbols anywhere on the reels. You will be taken to a new screen where you will be greeted by the leprechaun in the bottom left corner wielding a large spinning wheel. Stretching off ahead of him is a long windy path that has gradually increasing multiplier values moving up it.

All you have to do is press Spin to start the round. The leprechaun will spin his wheel and depending on what number the wheel stops at, this is how many steps along the road you will take. You keep spinning and moving along the road until the leprechauns wheel lands on Collect. At this stage you will stop the bonus round. The final multiplier value that you landed on is multiplied by your total wager to give you your Road To Riches bonus.

The second Bonus Round is called the Wishing Well Bonus, and is initiated when you manage to spin three or more Wishing Well symbols anywhere across the five reels. Its a very simple bonus – you stay on the main game screen and each of the Wishing Wells becomes clickable. All you have to is select one of them and a multiplier value will be brought up out of the well. This value is applied to your total wager to give you your win value. Helpfully the other two values are then shown as well just to show you what you could have won!

There is one final bonus round, and thats the Pots Of Gold bonus. The Pots Of Gold symbol only appears on reels two, three and four, and should you spin three of them in anywhere on the reels then you will start this bonus.
